Ghana is managed by harum-scarums

The Sports Ministry of Ghana has over the years been bedevilled with scandals and pillages. Astoundingly, every leader keeps repeating the status quo as if they have been programmed to do so.

Ghanaians are losing their passion for football because of irresponsible decisions by the leaders

The Ministry of Sports under H.E. John Dramami Mahama administration had Hon. Nii Lante Vandapuye as the sports minister. He procured a land at New Edubiase to build a sports stadium. He built a dressing room and a lavatory. However, that project couldn’t be completed.

The government was replaced after an election by H.E. Nana Akufo Addo. He appointed Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah to be the sports minister. Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah upon attaining that position astoundingly procured a land right next to that of his predecessor instead of continuing the project his forerunner left off. Isn’t that ridiculous?

Another land has been procured at Nkawkaw to build a stadium but that as well hasn’t been completed. Yet the very same government would fund the black stars which is the male national team of Ghana with US$25M. What kind of leadership could this be?

Ghana Embassy in Egypt owes an amount to the tune of US$332000 for reservations made for the supporters of Ghana during the AFCON tournament in Egypt. However, these supporters never got the opportunity to turn up to Egypt as Ghana got eliminated by Tunisia. The Embassy never cared to abrogate the reservation. No competent leader had the love of God to repeal the reservation hence plunging the nation into debt so that the taxes of the hardworking citizens suffering from abject poverty is used to foot the debt.

This is the sort of leadership that exists in Ghana. The nation is indeed steered by harum-scarums.
